Absolute Beginners to Computers
The next Beginner’s class will commence in Term 1, 2005.

No computer skills required. Learn how to use the mouse, basic file management and how to navigate the screen and turn the computer on and off. Simple word processing, printing documents and the Windows programs.

Computer Essentials – Internet & Email:
Term 4 : Mondays 1.00 – 4.00 p.m. for 10 weeks starting 4th October
In this course students will cover an introduction to Microsoft Word (a word-processing program), Learn how to search the Internet and how to send and receive Emails.

(Entrants must have completed a Beginners course or equivalent.)

Intermediate Computers
Term 4 : Tuesdays at 1.00 – 4.00 p.m. starting 5th October.

This course will give students the knowledge to create personal and business letters, formal reports, file management and other advanced word processing skills.

(Entrants must have completed a beginners course or equivalent.)

Computer Work Skills
Term 4 : Mondays 9.30 – 12.30 p.m. for 10 weeks starting 4th October and Tuesdays 9.30 – 12.30 p.m. for 10 weeks starting 5th October.
In this course Students will be completing accredited modules. This course is especially designed for those students who wish to further their studies to assist them with gaining employment requiring Computer skills.

Students can participate in both or either of these modules which include:

Monday classes:
Term 4 will include Digital Photo.
Take digital images, learn to enhance photos.

Tuesday classes:
Introduction to Powerpoint (ICAITU132A). In this course students will learn to open an existing presentation, inserting texts, graphs, tables, inserting word art, animated slide shows and running slide shows..
Create exciting slide shows for work, schools or home demonstrations. Learn to include sound and animations.

(Entrants must have completed Beginners or equivalent course.)

Introduction to Photoshop
Term 4 : Wednesdays 9.30 to 12.30 p.m. for 10 weeks starting 6th October
In this course students will learn how to use basic photo editing skills such as cropping, adjusting levels and colour correction. Introduction to selection tools, masks and layers.

Advanced Photoshop
Term 4 : Wednesdays 1.00 – 4.00 p.m. for 10 weeks starting 6th October.
This course includes returning and repairing photos, basic photo corrections, working with selections, advanced layer techniques, more masks and channels, painting and editing, vector masks, paths and shapes, filters.

Creative Computer Class
Term 4
Thursdays 9.00 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. 7th October for nine weeks.

Designed for students who already have computer and Internet skills.
Continues from the Introduction to photoshop covering Fireworks and Flash programs
Create posters, montages. Learn 3-D and layering effects on images.
The afternoon sessions are devoted to beginning to explore video editing using Adobe Premiere.
