Duke Street Community House Committee of Management: 2004

The Duke Street Committee of Management is elected from members of the Duke Street Community House Association at our Annual General Meeting that is held in September each year. Each member brings to the committee a willingness to become involved in the house governance and to voice issues about our local neighbourhood and resources to the house. Many committee members commit a significant amount of voluntary time not only to Duke Street but also to other community groups and activities within the Cities of Brimbank and Maribyrnong.

Ormond Butler – Chairperson

Ormond has been active as a volunteer in a number of community groups for many years. Ormond is a member of Neighbourhood Watch in the Braybrook area and was a past President of Cherry Crescent Kindergarten. For the past 6 years he has been a part of the Duke Street Community House committee and during the past 3 years has been our Chairperson.

Jeff Bremner – Vice Chairperson


Jeff is a very active member of our community and has contributed to many areas including the Police and Community Consultative Committee, Neighbourhood Watch and with groups involved in environmental issues, particularly for the Stony Creek area. Jeff has been on the Duke Street Community House committee for three years and is our current Vice Chairperson.

Pat Charles – Secretary


Pat has been a student at Duke Street for the past three years, taking courses in Word, Spreadsheets, digital cameras and creative computing. She is also a volunteer assisting with administration at the house.

Eric W. Jones – Treasurer
Eric has been a student in the Computer Class for the past three years and was the treasurer of our Tattslotto competition. He is a volunteer at the house and is a great photocopier,helpful to everyone and a good friend.
