Where exactly did Farm Bureau Car Insurance Company come from? Well, in order to understand who they are and what they offer, it’s important to learn a little bit about their roots.

The American Farm Bureau Federation, or AFBF is an independent organization, which represents farm and ranch families in order to bring about economic opportunity and social advancement. The Farm Bureau as a whole represent these families locally, nationally, whether it’s by county or by state.

In hopes of building prosperous agricultural communities, the American Farm Bureau Federation offers its agricultural members auto insurance through its Farm Bureau Car Insurance Company.

Each state has an active Farm Bureau Car Insurance Company website. By visiting www.fb.org, you can click on the Farm Bureau section to find your state’s main office.

By becoming a member of the Farm Bureau, you can find some of the best deals when it comes to your automobile insurance coverage. In many cases, your Farm Bureau Car Insurance Company will provide you with some of the lowest rates out there to help enhance your growth when it comes to your agricultural vision. On top of that, your local Farm Bureau will most likely offer you excess liability extended coverage, which can be very beneficial when it comes to protecting your farm and ranch vehicles.

Not only will your Farm Bureau Car Insurance Company work hard at providing its customers with the lowest rates, but they will also work hard at seeing what other discounts they can provide. Your agent will help you understand what discounts you are eligible for. More importantly, if you’re ineligible, they will help get you where you need to be.

Other Farm Bureaus around the nation, such as California and Ohio, have made alliances with other auto insurance providers. If your local bureau does not have a Farm Bureau Car Insurance company, you can get coverage through one of their partners at lower prices just by being a member of your Farm Bureau organization.

One of the Farm Bureau’s leading partners is Allied Insurance. This company has specialized in providing farm and business auto insurance for nearly 60 years. Its parent company, being Nationwide Insurance is another provider that may be used to help you get the coverage you need.

In some cases however, you can find an independently established Farm Bureau Car Insurance Company such as the ones located in North Carolina and Colorado. By visiting the above mentioned website, you can find out if there’s farm and auto coverage available for you.

Dealing with a Farm Bureau Car Insurance Company is not for everyone. However, it can be ideal for ranchers and farmers wanting the best protection possible when it comes to farm equipment, property and their business and personal vehicles.

No matter what your auto insurance needs it is important for you to shop around and compare multiple auto insurance companies side by side.

By: James J.

Auto insurance is a contract with an insurance company that helps to protect you against severe financial loss if you are ever in an auto accident Auto insurance is required to protect yourself from road and auto accidents and may include losses for liability, medical payments and any physical damage resulting from the accident. The coverage of a personal auto policy includes the insured, his family members, friends and associates that may borrow the car.

Automobile insurance includes vehicles like cars and bikes and is available for everybody. Most states have laws that require basic auto insurance coverage for every driver. Only some states ask that you display financial responsibility. If you are involved in an auto accident or stopped by a police officer and found to be driving without car insurance or proof of financial responsibility, you will have to pay a fine or specific to the laws of your state which may also include loss of driving privileges. The financial responsibility law states that you have to demonstrate having sufficient assets to settle any judgments against you which may arise out of an auto accident. If you are uninsured and in an auto accident that involves property damage or injuries to people, you will be required to pay for any damages assessed by a court.

However, having quick payday loans does not prevent a person from suing you. It does assure that the financial and legal resources of the insurance company will assist you in defending the suit and paying for the damages in the case of an automobile accident.

Since most states require auto insurance from all drivers, the states have assigned risk plans to assure coverage. The plans vary from state to state, but assigned risk policies are usually expensive, because a bad driving record makes you a bad risk for any insurer. Most auto insurance policies are non-assessable. If you do have an assessable policy, you can be assessed an extra amount if your insurance company has had an extraordinary amount of car accidents that year.

Auto insurance rates have fallen considerably across the U.S. in the last two years. The reasons contributing to this decline are:

Safer cars

Falling crime rates

Stringent drunk driving laws

Increased competition among insurance companies

Ageing of the population

With a growing need for auto insurance, many insurance companies now offer specific auto insurance deals tailored to the consumer.

Insurance is essentially a contract between the insurer and policy owner. Insurer agrees to pay an amount to the person insured or his nominee at any unfortunate event (according to the policy) or at the date or maturity or at death of the policy owner. Policy owner has to pay a fixed amount called premium in periodic intervals (monthly, quarterly, half yearly or yearly). Premium amount varies depends on many factors like age of the policy owner, scheme, type of the policy, sum assured etc.

The various types of insurances are:

Car Insurance

If you use an automobile for your business activities – for example, transporting supplies or products, visiting customers, or ferrying employees or customers – you need to make certain your automobile insurance will protect you from accidents that occur while on business. Car insurance takes care of all this.

Health & Disability Insurance

Health insurance is needed to cover the medical costs if you fall ill or hurt yourself and Disability insurance is needed if you are unable to work because of sickness or injury.
Insuring Workers

Once you hire an employee, it becomes your duty to compensate to cover what it costs if the employee is hurt on the job and needs medical treatment and income until he can return to work. Compensating injured workers insurance policy takes this load off your head.
Umbrella Policies

An umbrella policy offers you extra liability insurance that pays for a loss when the limits of your policy are reached. Suppose, if you’re responsible for someone’s injury that requires Rs.1, 50,000 of medical treatment and the liability limit in your underlying policy is Rs.1, 00,000, your umbrella policy will pay the additional Rs.50, 000.

Four key rules of insurance coverage:

1. Insure against the big catastrophes and disasters only. Differentiate what you can’t afford to pay for out of pocket and always remember that “the cheapest insurance is self-insurance”.

2. Carry the largest possible deductibles you can afford. The larger the deductible, the more you are self-insuring and the cheaper the premium will be.

3. Trust only the best-rated insurance companies. You need insurance companies you can depend on and no hidden costs and conditions.

4. Choose your agent carefully. He should not be a mere third party, rather he should be the first person you contact in case of an emergency knowing that he will take a prompt action on the insurance front while you take care of the damage.

5. Study your insurance plan very carefully and discuss every situation possible. Also study the feedback given by previous or existing customers of the company.

By: Tarang Bhargava

Did you ever feel bored and frustrated when trying to find the best auto insurance quote? According to a recent survey, it has been revealed that in the highly cutthroat competitive world of industry, an approximate of 1500 prospects are visiting daily on the web for a quote. What if each driver had to pay the money out of their own pocket?

In Michigan automobile owners pay some of the highest auto insurance rates in the industry for a non-major metropolitan area because of the harsh winters and sometimes hazardous driving conditions that come with those winters. When you shop online, you have the opportunity to receive an instant quote from a variety of different companies. Be careful and make sure that you give fully factual information on your instant quote application.

Before getting car insurance, it is necessary for you to get a detailed view of different rate or quote from more than one company. If your current insurance company does not offer any multipolicy discounts, consider looking elsewhere for a quote, such as online. Get loyalty discounts by buying your auto insurance from the same company.

After fulfilling the legal mandate on auto insurance, insure according to your needs alone. Apart from that, it is very important to know that you may not get the best offer when you try to make a claim from your insurance claim adjuster at the first time. Basically the main point that many consumers compare among different insurance companies when they want to buy the next auto insurance policy from is the automobile insurance coverage price.

Obviously, the amount of coverage of the vehicle impacts the price of auto insurance quotes. It is wise to take advantage of free quotes on the Internet. After all, the most difficult decision you need to make is which online insurance provider to choose from so that you can receive free quotes right away.

Moreover, people can use their quotes to find out more about the credits presented to drivers with good ratings. As for the drawbacks to purchasing auto insurance online, there are so few. Do keep in mind that that is not a cost but a great way to protect yourself, and family, with the automobile.

The first thing you should do before you start this comparison is to go through your insurance coverages and keep your auto insurance policy on hand. Every car insurance policy is different and that’s why it pays to read through several quotes from different companies so that you can make a fair assessment of which policy is right for you. So, equipped with this knowledge both you and I know that it pays to do a little legwork and shop around for car insurance.

Auto insurance is one of those things we all complain about until we need it, then we are glad we paid those premiums on time. Bodily Injury Coverage the funds that an insurance company would pay for damages caused to another individual involved in a motor vehicle accident. In fact, there are quite many factors which will affect the amount that they pay you.

By: Tsuyoshi E. Suzuki

Many people would find it strange to think that the story of auto insurance would start back in Mesopotamia 5,000 years ago. It did not start with chariot collision coverage, however, but with cargo insurance.

The modern story really started with the advent of the automobile in the last century, but the concept was not new and it was not created for automobiles. The concept was what was known as mutual assumption of risk. An even earlier concept began almost with the dawn of trade over 5,000 years ago. When ancient traders first began sending off boats loaded with cargo, the idea of catastrophic loss began to have some economic meaning. When a boat sank and a cargo was lost, a merchant could be ruined.

There were a lot of reasons that ancient man would have for why fate struck down one and let another prosper. It could have been the will of the gods or it could have just been pure luck, but regardless, neither reason made for good business. The idea of shared risk was the basis for insurance. If every merchant paid a small amount prior to each voyage and the proceeds were used to protect from catastrophic loss the unlucky one, luck lost a bit of its control on commerce.

When the automobile was first developed and began to replace the horse and wagon on the roads of America, it was not long before the prospect of catastrophic loss emerged again. The maritime insurance industry was well established from its ancient roots and it was an easy jump to automobile insurance on the same principle of mutual assumption of risk. The problem was two fold right from the beginning. There was the dual loss potential of actual damage to your vehicle and the much more serious liability issue.

It was liability that had the potential for catastrophic loss. When an accident occurred, even from the very beginning, it seemed that fault was assigned. This became a guiding principle of automobile accidents. Someone was always to blame and that person was liable for the damage to the other’s vehicle. Worst, they were liable for the injuries to the “innocent” people involved. It was this need to protect drivers from liability that led to the growth of automobile insurance.

The fact that uninsured motorist who caused accidents had no means to cover their liability was the spur to enact laws within the various states requiring a minimum amount of liability insurance. Each State passed their own laws and made enforcement part of the licensing and registration process. Some States, such as Virginia, allowed uninsured motorist to pay a hefty fee in lieu of having insurance, but the fee was actually a sort of risk sharing payment similar to insurance anyway.

By: Aazdak Alisimo

Different auto insurance companies offer different types of coverage to suit any need, budget, and car type. And the best option is to have your car independantly valued first by visiting Kelly blue book.

When you wheel and deal directly with auto insurance companies, the “middleman” is taken right out of the equation, and this helps a company keep their rates as low as they can.

As auto insurance companies constitute a growing industrial sector, these companies provide a wide range of employment opportunities for beginners as well as experienced persons. If you are new to Texas or if you are visiting and bringing in your car, you must immediately arrange for an auto insurance coverage if you do not have one yet.

Generally, all you need to do to cancel your auto insurance policy is to inform your insurance company in writing, specifying the date you want the policy canceled. It is very easy to shop around for a new auto insurance company, since most company websites offer you instant quotes and deals online and give their contact details for further information. One type of coverage is called liability and that is the least coverage a person can get.

The insurance requirement does not end with auto insurance. Trying to determine the right amount of auto insurance coverage you need for your car or automobile can initially look like it will be a daunting task at best. If you do decide to only insure your car or automobile with liability auto insurance then no matter what your state mandated minimum insurance requirements are it would be beneficial to carry the following amount of auto insurance, $50,000 bodily injury liability for one person, $100,000 for all folks injured in an accident and $25,000 property damage liability.

Although the policy of don’t ask, don’t tell seemed like a good idea for the military, should it be the same with auto insurance company?

Some of the other aspects that are considered when you are shopping for low cost auto insurance policies are, how long you have been driving, miles driven to work, miles you drive per year and how long you have had auto insurance.

One of the best ways to take a look at the good, bad and the ugly about auto insurance companies is by checking out online company reviews.

Making your teens safe while they are driving is one of the most importance issues in your auto insurance policy.

You can sit in the comfort of your home and get quotes from several insurance companies for the best rates for your auto insurance.

By: Calvin Leonard

Thanks to the Automobile Insurance Cost Reduction Act, New Jersey drivers are able to buy a basic car insurance policy in New Jersey – and what’s cheaper than purchasing the most basic car insurance policy available?

The Automobile Insurance Cost Reduction Act makes it possible for drivers to get cheap car insurance in New Jersey by offering them a policy even cheaper than the standard car insurance policy. The basic car insurance policy includes personal injury protection of $15,000 per person, per accident, and $250,000 per significant or permanent injury. However, the latter depends on the policy definitions. It also includes property damage liability of $5,000 per accident.

Bodily injury liability isn’t included in the basic insurance policy, but it’s an option. If a policyholder chooses to add bodily injury liability, the policyholder will have $10,000 for everyone, per accident.

Uninsured motorist and underinsured motorist coverage aren’t available with the basic car insurance policy, nor is collision coverage or comprehensive coverage. However, collision coverage and comprehensive coverage can be added on, depending upon how the basic car insurance policy was issued.

As you can see, the basic car insurance policy in New Jersey, although it’s the cheapest car insurance in New Jersey, offers very minimal coverage; however, it does offer important coverage, as well as additional features. Those drivers with the basic car insurance policy in New Jersey have the right to take legal action in the event of a motor vehicle-related accident, whereas those drivers without any insurance don’t have that right.

The basic car insurance policy isn’t for everyone. Those drivers who choose to obtain cheap car insurance in New Jersey by purchasing the basic car insurance policy should do so only if they don’t have much family responsibility, they are just starting out in the work force, it is the first car insurance policy they’ve ever purchase, or they can’t afford any other car insurance for whatever reason.

By: Elizabeth Newberry

Auto insurance is mandatory in New Jersey, but the type and cost of that coverage can vary considerably. Every day, consumers are finding that there are options available to make it easier to comply with the law. The New Jersey Automobile Insurance Cost Reduction Act mandated that a basic policy be available to all drivers.
It is essential to realize that you are breaking the law if you drive uninsured. The penalties for driving uninsured are getting more severe – in addition to risking economic loss by not having insurance protection, you risk fines, suspension of driver’s license or registration and even time in jail. In the future, your car could be impounded if you are caught behind the wheel without coverage.

The Basic Policy should be considered by those with few family responsibilities and few real assets. It can provide a transition for younger drivers who are just beginning work, providing a basic, minimum protection when they may be least able to afford more comprehensive coverage.

Let’s review the New Jersey auto insurance Basic Policy. The Basic Policy offers less protection, but at a lower cost than the Standard insurance policy.

Bodily Injury Liability

Coverage for claims and lawsuits by people injured as a result of an accident you cause. Coverage is not included but $10,000 coverage for all persons, per accident is available as an option.

Property Damage Liability

Coverage for claims and lawsuits by people whose property is damaged as a result of an accident you cause. Coverage of $5,000 per accident is provided.

Personal Injury Protection

Coverage for injuries sustained in an automobile accident by you or other persons covered under your policy. Coverage of $15,000 per person, per accident and up to $250,000 for permanent or significant injury is provided as defined in the policy.

Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Coverage

This type of coverage would pay for property damage or bodily injury if you are in an accident caused by an uninsured motorist (a driver who does not have the minimum level of insurance required by law) or a driver who is insured, but who has less coverage than your underinsured motorist coverage. This is not included in the Basic Policy.

Collision

Coverage for damage to your vehicle as the result of a collision with another car or other object. This coverage is not included in the Basic Policy.

Comprehensive

Coverage for damage to your vehicle that is not a result of a collision, such as theft of your car, vandalism, flooding, fire or a broken windshield. Comprehensive coverage also pays if you collide with an animal. This also is not included in the Basic Policy.

Collision and comprehensive coverage are available as options on policies issued through PAIP (Personal Automobile Insurance Plan) or on voluntary policies issued by some insurance companies. This is very significant for anyone who has a vehicle loan or lease that requires such coverage.

Another affordable car insurance option in New Jersey is the Dollar a Day Auto Insurance Policy or theSpecial Automobile Insurance Policy (SAIP). This is a new initiative to help make limited auto insurance coverage available to drivers who are eligible for Federal Medicaid with hospitalization. Such drivers can obtain a medical coverage-only policy at a cost of $365 a year.

People who are currently enrolled in federal Medicaid with hospitalization are eligible for the Dollar a Day policy. You are eligible if the Card Run Identifier on the upper left of your Medicaid ID card has an asterisk “*” after the code and “SAIP” is printed on the lower right of the card.

The SAIP policy can be obtained at most insurance agencies. There are two payment options: $360 if you pay up front or $365 in two installments.

The policy covers -emergency treatment immediately following an accident and treatment of serious brain and spinal cord injuries up to $250,000. It also provides a $10,000 death benefit. It does not cover -outpatient treatments such as doctors’ visits covered by Medicaid, damage you may cause to other persons or property, or damages to your own car.

The policy only covers those enrolled in Medicaid. If there is one car and several people in the household enrolled in Medicaid, they can all be covered by the same policy. However, there can only be one car per policy.

To apply for this policy, bring the driver’s licenses for all operators of the vehicle to be insured and the vehicle’s registration and your Medicaid identification card that shows that all persons to be covered under the policy are enrolled in Medicaid.

Remember for both of these types of New Jersey car insurance policies, if you do not have any liability coverage; you are responsible for paying for the personal hardships and some economic damages, such as lost wages, that you cause. The insurer will not provide or pay for a lawyer to represent you if you are sued. Your assets will be at risk, including the risk of having money deducted from your wages if a judgment is entered against you. And, if you lack coverage and someone hits you, you cannot sue.

By: Marie Wakefield

Drivers who live in Sacramento, California who don’t make a lot of money are eligible for an innovative and impressive new auto insurance program. The Low Cost Automobile Insurance Program is ideal for low income drivers who need affordable car insurance, but what about everyone else? If you are looking for cheap car insurance in Sacramento, California keep these money-saving pointers in mind:

o	Choose the minimum required liability coverage including $5,000 property liability coverage. Although many people aren’t comfortable with such low coverage, if you are, this is a great way to save.

o	Don’t claim for unnecessary repairs. If you back into a pole or your chip your windshield and the damage is minimal, don’t file it as a claim against your insurance policy. This will just increase your rates.

o	Buy a car that costs less to insure. Most people never consider the cost of insurance when they are shopping for a new car. Many late model cars cost much more to insure than others. It’s a good idea to call your car insurance company before making a new car purchase to check on the expected cost of premiums.

o	If you have a garage, use it. Some car insurance companies offer a discount for their clients who park their car in a secure spot. If you do this, mention it when asking for a quote, it may result in a percentage discount off the cost of premiums.

Checking your policy over when you first receive it helps to ensure that you aren’t paying for anything you shouldn’t be. In addition to checking what your policy covers, be aware that a mistake in your age or the length of time you’ve spent behind the wheel can also result in increased premiums. If you do spot an error in the policy, notify your agent immediately.

By: Deborah Mills
